The following are, our local resident artists who play at our local establishments, graciously for fundraisers, and for fun at Heartland Connections. They have been especially important during Covid-19 providing live stream sessions to entertain our audiences and provide some much needed mental health relief! They help us in many ways and we could never thank them enough!

Tom Campbell (Father of Six Music)
Our great friend, father of 6 children, owner of the deliciously addictive Bishop Hill Bakery & Eatery, and Co-Founder of Heartland Connections. Tom started playing guitar in his early teens, developing a passion for many types of music that continues to grow every day. His influences include Gordon Lightfoot, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Tallest Man on Earth, Grateful Dead, Mark Kozelek, Mike Wallace, Allman Brothers Band, and too many more to mention. We even have him playing a little Guster and Foo Fighters! Tom also plays periodically with friends Greg Percifield, Chris Stevens & area favorite “Glory Days Garage Band” entertaining many in the immediate Henry County, IL area.

Chris Stevens
Years spent learning the signature licks of Eric Clapton, Freddie King & more help Chris play a smooth, improvisational style of Guitar coupled with passionate performance. People sometimes ask why I play musical instruments and sing, Music is the expression of inner feelings. I particularly enjoy playing acoustic as there is nowhere to hide. I can’t duck behind volume, distortion, or effects. Plain pure & simple musical expression. Chris has played every festival stage in central Illinois including: The Peoria Blues & Heritage Festival Budweiser Illinois Blues Festival Miller Lite Illinois Blues Festival, Grand Nationals, Ham n’ Jam, Frost Yer Buns, Louie Louie & more.

Greg Percifield
One very own resident “Piano Man!” An immensely talented musician, his skill with a piano allows him to play anything from contemporary to classical music and everything in-between. In addition to his ability with the ivories, Greg’s voice always hits home on every song he plays. Greg studied Jazz Piano at Columbia College in Chicago. He has played with and for musicians all over and is in demand for many area venues including the ever popular “Dueling Piano” establishments.
